Teavolve: Where Union Wharf Residents Can Sip Tea, Catch Live Music, and Much More

When you hear the term “tea shop,” you might imagine a little place with lace curtains where ladies wearing white gloves sit at ornate table settings to sip Darjeeling and nibble cucumber sandwiches. Your first visit to Teavolve Cafe in Fells Point, however, will quickly disabuse you of any such notion. This shop's warehouse-style space is hip and spacious, with large street-facing windows that allow for plenty of natural light. As you walk toward the front counter, you’ll see locals chatting with friends, working on their laptops, or reading the paper.

Help yourself to cafe seating, or head on over to the dining room if you want a full-service experience. There you can order from a menu of breakfast, brunch, and lunch options (regulars recommend the red velvet pancakes, spinach and artichoke dip, and the adult grilled cheese). During happy hour, you and some friends from Union Wharf can enjoy a live DJ along with tea-infused cocktails, or you could catch some live music at this place's popular weekend brunch. And, of course, whenever you visit there's always plenty of tea to go around!
