Water For Chocolate Is Back and Better Than Ever! Stop By and Show Your Support, Union Wharf!

We're going to let you in on a little secret, Union Wharf: Water for Chocolate might just be Charm City's hidden gem. Tucked way in Fells Point, this locally owned eatery, which seats only about 30 diners, serves American fare with a Southern flair. (You haven't lived until you've tried the restaurant's crème-anglaise-drizzled raisin bread French toast!)

What might be more notable than the food, however, is the kindness of Water For Chocolate's staff, headed by the amiable Chef Sean Guy. That's why it was especially heart-wrenching to learn that, on March of this year, a dryer fire in Guy's apartment caused extensive damage to his restaurant below. Even more tragic, the fire claimed the life of Guy's beloved pug, Dirty Rice, and it all happened just four days after Water For Chocolate celebrated its ninth year in business. But we have good news: Water For Chocolate has since reopened (in its same location), which means there's nothing stopping you from experiencing the homestyle cooking — and fun personality — of Chef Guy!

Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Water For Chocolate is open Wednesdays through Mondays. Stop by to show your support, and be sure to check out the restaurant's daily specials on Facebook!
