Holiday Events You Won’t Want to Miss This Season Near Union Wharf
'Tis the season to be jolly, Union Wharf, and here in Baltimore, you'll find plenty of opportunities to do just that! During the holidays, Charm City takes on new exuberance as seasonal markets, light installations, and events spring up all around town. Here are just three of our favorites:
1) PANDORA Ice Rink at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, 201 E Pratt St, Baltimore, MD 21202; Nov. 13 – Jan. 18
For an admission fee plus skate rental, you can glide across the pop-up ice rink at Baltimore's Inner Harbor. Link arms with your friends and loved ones for a leisurely lap around the rink, or enroll in the six-week-long "learn to skate" program for a more structured skating session.
2) B&Os Magical Holiday Express at the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Museum, 901 W Pratt St, Baltimore, MD 21223; Dec. 1 – Jan. 3
All aboard for Yuletide cheer! B&O's Magical Holiday Express is a must-see event for train enthusiasts of all ages. Take a train ride with Santa and Frosty the Snowman, check out miniature train sets set aglow in holiday lights, and participate in make-and-take crafts.
3) German Christmas Village at West Shore Park, 501 Light St., Baltimore, MD 21230; Nov. 26 – Dec. 27
Who says you need to head to the mall to find a great holiday gift? Instead, shop at Baltimore's annual German Christmas Village! During this outdoor bazaar, more than 70 vendors set up shop at West Shore Park in traditional wooden booths, while shoppers browse traditional European handicrafts and enjoy bratwurst and mulled wine.
