This popular Baltimore museum complex includes exhibits that not only teach help visitors about the lives of historic figures like Frederick Douglas and Isaac Myers, but also helps you imaginatively step into the kinds of lives they led 150 years ago.

If you visit Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Park with children they’ll be able to participate in hands-on maritime activities that were necessary in the shipyard: caulking, sanding, and other ship-building skills. In addition, the park offers plenty of museum-type exhibits, too, including historic maps, preserved artifacts, and archeological findings.
