As the heat wave moves through Baltimore, everyone is trying to keep cool. After trips to the pool and numerous fan purchases, you might be wondering what other things you can do to avoid the sweat. What a better way to celebrate the summertime than to grab a plate of delicious, cold sushi?

Right by the bay, Baltimore is famous for its fresh seafood. Here are our favorite sushi places in Fells Point, Harbor East, and Canton that will keep you cool and satisfied. You can even carry out your sushi to enjoy in Union Warf’s community room or courtyard.

Fells Point

Sticky Rice, 1634 Aliceanna St.
This restaurant offers traditional, modern, vegetarian and maki sushi. It’s fun and quirky vibe make it uniquely Fells Point—where else can you pair sushi with tater tots?

Nanami, 907 South Ann St.
Nanami serves up traditional-style sushi with a beautiful waterfront view. You may even get lucky and see the Urban Pirates returning from a voyage!

Mizu Sushi, 2224 Fleet St.
Dine-in at this quaint space off the beaten path, or, use their website to get some tasty sushi delivered right to your doorstep at Union Wharf. Get the Baltimore Roll and enjoy real blue crab with avocado and old bay—none of that krab for Marylanders!

Canton

Katana Sushi, 845 South Montford Ave.
Katana’s main attractions are its fresh sushi and ramen noodles, but you may want to wait for winter to try the ramen! For lunch, try their three roll special for only $12.50.

Sushi San, 2478 Lighthouse Point East
Sushi San is connected to Thai Jai Dee, combining Japanese and Thai traditions for a unique dining experience with something for everyone. While currently closed for a change in management, it won’t be long before this long-time Canton restaurant is back in business.

Shiso Tavern, 2933 O’Donnell St.
This Canton Square restaurant pairs its traditional-style sushi with an extensive bar menu to ensure you stay cool through this heat wave.

Whether you’re checking out one of the many sushi places right by Union Wharf in Fells Point, or getting it delivered to enjoy in Union Wharf’s community room, we hope you stay cool and enjoy your meal!
