Find Friends and Fun at the Fells Point Festival

festivalAs you may be able to tell by the brick sidewalks and 18th century undertones, Fells Point has a lot of history. Established in 1763, this neighborhood has seen Baltimore flourish from the beginning and we’re proud that Union Wharf is a part of such a vibrant community. Fells Point is packed to the brim with historical markers, classic architecture, antique shops, and don’t forget dozens of pubs! There is so much to learn about Fells Point and its history as one of Baltimore’s proudest historical districts and there’s no better place than the Fells Point Festival!

Created in 1967, the annual festival was originally organized to raise money to stop the construction of a highway that would connect I-83 and I-95, destroying a portion of Fells Point and cutting the rest off from the waterfront. The festival was a success, proving to the community how loved Fells Point really is, and raising money and awareness for its preservation.

Today, we celebrate this little piece of history by remembering the fight to keep the culture of Fells Point alive and how long it has thrived since then. Just around the corner from Union Wharf, this is an event you can’t miss.

On October 12th and 13th, join the community as they gather in Fells Point to enjoy the 54th year of the festival with live music, art vendors, food providers, a pet parade and more!

There will be two stages hosting a killer lineup of local artists located at Broadway Square and Thames Street. Artists such as Gin Blossoms, Ebb & Nova, and Wide Eyed Lounge Cats are scheduled to fill the street with tunes as you cruise through woodcrafts, boutiques, cigars, homemade moonshine, and so much more.

The best part of everything is that it is absolutely free! Come celebrate Baltimore pride and history at the Fells Point Festival!
