We hope all of our residents here at Union Wharf had an amazing holiday season and are enjoying the start of 2020. With the New Year (and decade) comes an opportunity for new experiences. We’re excited to explore everything Baltimore has to offer this January and hope you’ll be able to check out some of these great events:

Baltimore Restaurant Week – 1/10 -1/19
Baltimore Restaurant Week begins on Friday, January 10. Explore the city’s most popular restaurants for brunch, lunch, and/or dinner at a discounted price. Be sure to make reservations and use #BaltCityRW20 to share all of your delicious food pics.

Harbor Point Ice Festival – 1/11
On Saturday, January 11, head over to nearby Harbor Point to see it transform into a winter wonderland. This festive winter event will showcase nearly 50,000 lbs. of ice carved into 20 interactive sculptures. In addition to these Instagram-worthy sculptures, there will be food trucks, a DJ, and kids zone.

Ravens vs. Titans #PlayoffPurpleTailgate – 1/11
Celebrate our birds making it to playoffs with a classic #PurpleTailgate from Bmore Around Town. The tailgate will begin at 4:00pm and will feature 3.5 hours of all inclusive drinks and food, as well as a DJ, live music, silent and auctions, and more. You won’t want to miss the most purple party in town!

Fells Point Weekly Monday Rise & Run – 1/13
This Monday, take your New Year’s resolutions to the next level by joining a running club right here in Fells Point at Charm City Run. Runners meet at 6:00am every Monday and typically run about 4 miles—all levels welcome!

Polar Bear Plunge – 1/23 – 1/25
The Maryland Polar Bear Plunge supports athletes who train and compete with the Special Olympics. Each year, people raise money for the Maryland Special Olympics and head to Sandy Point State Park to make a splash in the cold winter waters. Learn more about how you can make the plunge, or support other plungers here.

Ice Rink Closing Party – 1/20
If you didn’t get a chance to check out the ice-skating rink downtown, be sure to do so before Monday, January 20th. In honor of its last day until next winter, the Waterfront Partnership will be hosting a Closing Glow Party at the rink. Best of all, everyone will receive a free glow bracelet or necklace!

Oyster, Wine, and Beer Festival – 1/25
On Saturday, January 25, head up to The Assembly Room for a shuckin’ good time with all you can eat oysters, seafood dishes, and pit beef. Wash everything down with all you can drink beer, wine, spirits, and champagne! Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite.

Lunar New Year Celebration – 1/26
Ring in the Lunar New Year at The Walters Art Museum and celebrate 2020—the year of the Rat. Enjoy live dance and music performances, make your own paper flowers, and so much more as you share in good fortune for the New Year.

Baltimore Game Changers Event – 1/28
Want to make Baltimore even better? Check out the Game Changers event at Bar Vasquez with like-minded people and TED-style talks, hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, live music and networking.

We wish all of our residents a very happy 2020 and hope you’ll enjoy everything Baltimore has to offer this year and beyond!
