Let’s Have A Shamrockin’ St. Paddy’s in Baltimore

St Paddys

Whether you’re Irish every day, or just on St. Paddy’s Day, we all could use a special celebration this year!

This Wednesday, March 17th is St. Patrick’s Day. The holiday has been celebrated for over 1,000 years to commemorate St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. These days, St. Paddy’s day is celebrated across America to honor Irish culture, enjoy dishes like corned beef and cabbage, and enjoy some brews.

So, don your favorite green outfit, gather your lucky charms, and let’s celebrate! Keep reading to learn more about some shamrockin’ events happening this March 17th right here in Baltimore:

The Cuisine of Ireland for St. Paddy’s Day
Let’s be honest…one of the best parts of every holiday is the food! St. Patricks Day is a great opportunity to learn about delicious Irish culinary traditions. You can learn how to make some modern Irish dishes in Schola cooking school’s special themed class, including Garlic & Guinness Steamed Mussels, Potato Boxtys stuffed with Creamed Bacon and a Classic Shepherd’s Pie. If we can’t travel to Europe, the next best thing is tasting the food!

Dropkick Murphy’s Virtual Concert
Another way to be transported to the Emerald Isle? Through music! Continuing an annual tradition, The Dropkick Murphy’s will be performing at 7pm Boston time on St. Paddy’s, but this year, you can enjoy it right from your apartment.

Party In-Person
There are lots of festive St. Paddy’s events this year! If you plan on attending any of these events, please remember to social distance and wear a mask.

It will start at the Fell’s Point Charm City Run location, and post-run you can stop at the store for some refreshments and discounts on their gear! You can RSVP here.
