Spring into the Season in Baltimore

Baltimore is always blooming with good vibes, but especially with the start of the Spring season. The start of Spring is officially called the Spring Equinox, which takes place on Sunday, March 20th. When the Sun crosses through the Equator line, the Northern Hemisphere, along with our very own Baltimore, experience warmer temperatures and sunnier skies.
Here’s how to celebrate the start of Spring in Baltimore:
Visit the Gardens
4310 Underwood Road, Baltimore, MD 21218
Get lost in the sea of vibrant crimsons, saffrons, and blushes at Sherwood Gardens. Their tulip gardens are truly incomparable. Open from dawn to dusk, Sherwood is the perfect place for a springtime stroll or photo op.
Peter Rawlings Conservatory and Botanic Gardens
3100 Swann Drive, Baltimore, MD 21217
For over 100 years, Peter Rawlings Conservatory has been wowing Baltimore. With over five greenhouse rooms and a half acre garden, the Conservatory has breathtaking views and landscaping. Stroll through the gardens with aromatic and scenic flowers.
Go for a Walk in the Park
2601 East Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21224
Breathe in the spring air and bask in the sun at Patterson Park. Besides their open green space, the Park has plenty of walkways, trails, and athletic fields. Also, be sure to check out the lake and see the ducks in action. When visiting, make sure to take a picture—or two—of the infamous Patterson Park Pagoda or the historic battle sites.
Or, join a community garden at one of the city’s parks. Baltimore City Farms is currently offering garden beds for rent. It’s time to work on your green thumb and plant some veggies, herbs, and/or flowers.
Enjoy a Sunset Cruise on the Water Taxi
Enjoy a night out on the water with friends and loved ones. For one hour, guests can sip on delicious beverages whilst chatting under the sunset.
Check Out the Farmers Market
800 South Broadway Street, at Thames Street, Baltimore, MD 21231
It’s that time of year again—time for delicious produce. Every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., the Fell’s Point is hosting their Farmers Market. Vendors will retail produce, coffee, sweet treats, gourmet eats, kombucha, organic soaps, and more.
