National Dog Day is Just Around the Corner

We don’t mean to hound you, but August 26th is National Dog Day! Celebrate your four-legged pals with treats and toys, or fun activities like a walk in the park.

Don’t forget that Union Wharf is a dog-friendly property, so anything is paws-sible.

August 26th Won’t Be a Ruff Day

Rescue advocate Colleen Paige founded the fur-bulous holiday in 2004, after her family adopted her first dog, Sheltie. Touched by the impact her rescue animal left upon her life, Paige aimed to encourage others to adopt. So, National Dog Day commemorates the joy, comfort, and pawsitivity that our furry friends bring to us.

Where’s the Paw-ty at?

Located in Brewer’s Hill, Bark Social is the ulti-mutt club for dogs and their owners. According to People magazine and The Washington Post, Bark Social will give dogs—and dog owners—the best day ever. Food and drinks are available for people and dogs alike.

The Downtown Dog Resort and Spa offers luxurious boarding and stays for dogs. If you’re looking for a daycare center for your pup, then come to south Baltimore for this dog haven.
