Our Favorite Holiday Events in Baltimore

Union Wharf residents—the most wonderful time of the year is finally here! And it’s even better here in Baltimore thanks to the incredible events hosted by our tight-knit community. We’ve created this guide featuring festive local events:

Dining

Santa’s not the only one who loves a good Christmas cookie. The Fells Point Cookie Crawl allows you to sample the finest cookie creations in Fell’s Point. The crawl is happening from 4-7pm on December 15th.

Don’t miss the Ugly Sweater Drag Brunch at Mother’s Fed Hill Grille on Saturday, December 17th from 12-3pm. Be sure to don festive apparel––the ugliest sweater wins a free ticket to their next show!

Holiday Shopping

Need to check off a few more names on your list? Get some holiday shopping done at the Holiday Heap 2022 at Space 2640 on Saturday, December 10th from 10am-5pm. Over 40 vendors and makers will be selling their unique creations.

Or, get a little crafty and DIY your own handmade gift! You can paint a cute holiday gnome that makes a perfect gift at Sip & Paint at Chuck’s on Thursday, December 15th from 6-8pm. A $10 ticket includes complimentary drinks, your own ceramic gnome, paint, and brushes.

Drinks & Bar Crawls

Get into the holiday spirit with a bar crawl or tasting! On Saturday, December 10th, you can check out the 12 Bars of Christmas Crawl starting from Power Plant Live, or the Ugly Sweater Bar Crawl through Pigtown. The following weekend, experience the Santa Bar Crawl to The Point with live music, drink specials, and plenty of merriment.

If you’re looking for a more low-key atmosphere, you might like the Christmas Village Spirits Tastings from 4-7pm every Thursday in December. Sample 4 locally distilled spirits and snack on a cheese, chocolate, and cracker plate while you take in the wintry atmosphere of the village.

Another great option is the Fell’s Point Egg Nog Tasting Tour on Saturday, December 10th from 1:30-4:30pm. Here, you can try out ‘nog from local businesses and enjoy a caroling performance.

Other Holiday Happenings

There are plenty of other holiday activities throughout the month. Here are some ways to fill your calendar:

Sunday, December 11th

Take a stroll through the Holiday Open House at Johns Hopkins’ Evergreen Museum & Library from 11am-2pm. The library halls are decked for the holidays and you can view their current exhibition: “A History of Houseplants”.

Thursday, December 15th

From 6-8pm, Full Tilt Brewing is hosting a Build Your Own Gingerbread House night. Create the gingerbread house of your dreams, then bring it back to decorate your apartment!

Friday, December 16th

Spend a night out at the Not So Silent Night dance party from 7-11pm. Be sure to grab a ticket in advance so that you can attend and enjoy beats by DJ Keebee, holiday-themed snacks, and an open bar.

Friday, December 23rd

Nothing says Christmas quite like caroling. Join the 52nd Annual East Baltimore Christmas Caroling in Fells Point, starting at 6pm.

Multiple Days

Every December, the Mayland Zoo in Baltimore puts on an incredible Light Show. Guests can walk through the zoo and marvel at the lights, the animals, and the festive ambiance. Plus, proceeds support the zoo’s animal care costs and important conversation work. There are new lights for the 2022 season, so there’s plenty to see even if you’ve been before.

If you have family in town, you can snag a photo op with Santa during Meet Santa at Guilford Hall on Saturday the 17th and Sunday the 18th. They’ll also have free Holiday Crafts, card making, hot cocoa, and a cider station! Donations including coats and canned food items are encouraged.

Happy Holidays!

Sending you happy holiday wishes, Union Wharf residents. Stay tuned for more exciting updates in the New Year!
