The First Day of Fall is Almost Here!
Fall

Every year, the beginning of fall marks a time to slow down from the bustle of summer, enjoy the crisp air, and appreciate the beauty of the changing leaves. September 23 marks the autumnal equinox, the day when the Sun crosses the celestial equator and the new season is ushered in. Baltimore is a special place to enjoy a refreshing autumn day, and has plenty of activities for our Union Wharf family to enjoy!

Sippin’ On Autumn

Autumn inspires many tasty seasonal food and drink items, and cocktails are no exception. On September 21, from 7-9pm, bring your friends to V-NO Wine Bar and Shop for their Autumn Wine Cocktail Tasting, where an expert mixologist will guide you through the rich flavors and warm aromas of the season! This cozy, inviting event includes 3 cocktail tastings, as well as light appetizers that capture the essence of fall.

For those who still want to enjoy seasonal beverages, while also allowing their artistic side to flourish, Lord Baltimore Hotel will be hosting a Hello Autumn Sip and Paint on September 30 from 7-10pm! Put on your coziest sweater and enjoy an evening of painting and karaoke paired with your beverage of choice. All painting materials are provided, so whether you’re a novice or an expert, your creativity will have room to thrive.

Fall Rock

On September 23, from 3-8pm, Wico St. Beer Co. is hosting an Autumn Serenade, where the cozy vibes of fall are waiting for you. Come find your new favorite artist as the music of George Jano and Jalen Jaguar soundtracks a relaxing night, complete with some of the best craft beer in town!

Live music pairs very well with shopping and delicious food, and at the Fall Flea Market at Patterson Park, all three will come together to create a vibrant environment! With over 150 vendors, the craft fair is staffed entirely by volunteers eager to make this event the best it can possibly be. Show your appreciation by coming out and enjoying all it has to offer.

September Cycling

There’s no better way to kick off a Saturday morning than with an energizing workout, and on the autumn equinox, September 23, Resistance Cycle will allow you to do just that at the Sand Lot in Harbor Point! With a live DJ, awesome scenery, free food and drinks post ride, swag bags, and local pop ups, this is guaranteed to be a cycling class that will raise the bar for morning workouts.

Old School Fall Fun

Sometimes simple, traditional fall activities are the best way to welcome the new season. To see some beautiful foliage and revel in the changing weather, take a walk through historic Patterson Park, an oasis that offers a space free from the stressors of urban life. Its ample open space is also perfect to get a game of touch football or ultimate frisbee going with some friends!

Apple picking is a fall staple, and Weber’s Farm in Parkville, Maryland is an excellent place to do just that. Located less than a half hour from downtown Baltimore, Weber’s Farm possesses an old country vibe that is equal parts relaxing and enchanting. Come enjoy some of their famous apple cider or their delicious fall treats!

No More September Scaries

Whether you’re into delectable fall-themed cocktails, live music, outdoor exercise, or apple picking, Baltimore has something for every Union Wharf resident this fall. So, grab your friends, put on a cozy sweater, and enjoy all the city has to offer this fall and beyond!
