Chilangos: Modern Mexican-American Just Steps Away from Union Wharf

margaritaLooking for the perfect place for post-work margs? Look no further than just steps outside of Union Wharf at Chilangos. This modern, Mexican-American cuisine is just what we needed!

The Look
Upon entering Chilangos, you’ll be greeted by a friendly hostess, an open layout, and walls adorned with sombreros and Mexican artwork. With floor-to-ceiling windows and outdoor seating, you’ll love the vibes in this cantina-style space.

The Food
The owner of Carlos O’Charlies, Carlos Cruz, decided to open Chilango’s Tequila Bar & Grill this summer to explore Mexican-American cuisine, while his other restaurant stays focused on Central American food.

At Chilango’s, you can enjoy all of your usual favorite, from Tacos, to Burritos, to Quesadillas, to Chimichangas, to Enchiladas, to Fajitas. In addition to the usual suspects, the restaurant offers some elevated cuisine, such as Salmon al Mojo de Ajo—fresh Chilean salmon marinated in a special garlic sauce, Mar y Tierra—surf and turf featuring NY strip steak and shrimp, and Mariscada Soup—half a main lobster with shrimp, muscles, and clams in a creamy broth. Be sure to start off with the Flautas for a fiesta in your mouth!

The Drinks
In addition to all of the delicious eats, you can expect a wide variety of refreshing cocktails at Chilangos. Aside from their premium Margaritas, check out their specialty libations, such as the Mexican Mule, Fiesta Mojito, or Chica Martini. If you’re with friends, grab the Carlito’s Way, a “monster margarita fit for El Jefe himself!”

The Word
Chilangos is quickly becoming a new local hangout for great food and cocktails so stop by for lunch, dinner, or weekend brunch. You won’t have to travel far living at Union Wharf!
